Destroy All Gondolas is a power trio born in the lagoon of Venice in 2012 after the experience of Black Flag Revival, a project by artist Ryts Monet, who combined for a performative installation Andrea (formerly Gonzales) on bass, Corrado (ex-Minkions now in Indian Nightmare, Buio) on drums and Enrico (aka Wasted Pido, former Hormonas, L’Amico Martucci, John Woo) on guitar and vocals.
About Black Flag Revival:
"The work is centered on music as a means of expression of a social critique in relation to today’s economic and cultural crisis in Northeast Italy, with a focus on the region of Veneto, where the highest rate of suicides among the middleclass businessmen is registered.[...] In Black Flag Revival social criticism shouted angrily from Black Flag [...] is reactivated through the re-enactment of their pieces by a tribute band of three musicians [...] The performance, recorded in a video and in a vinyl, is accompanied by a photographic work [...] "
(from the presentation of the work, Fondazione Bevilacqua La Masa 2013).
Ended the experience Destroy All Gondolas compose a dozen new songs, and in 2013 they make two recording sessions, the first at the “Brick Studio” in Mirano (Venice) still unpublished, and a second at the “Outside Inside Studio” of Montebelluna (TV) performed by Nene Baratto, who gave birth to the cassette self-produced "Blast Tape", later reissued as a 7’’ by Kornalcielo and Sailor Overdrive Records in late 2014.
The graphics and artwork are by Il Lama, independent design studio that conceive the whole visual part the band. Following several concerts in Italy and Berlin sharing the stage with Hobos, Santa Banana, Oozing Wound, Hallelujah !, Eu's Arse... In 2016 they made a tour in Italy with Naples punks Motosega, and shortly after they recorded their first LP "Laguna di Satana” at La Distilleria in Bassano del Grappa with Maurizio "Icio" Baggio at the mixing desk.
Insto-surf pushed to the limit of a frantic black-thrash metal aural assault, “Laguna Di Satana” is a weird garage-punk tale evoking post-apocalyptic, exotic landscapes, often trespassing the wall of sound of hardcore with sporadic bitterly ironic shouted lyrics both in english and italian.
In the twisted minds of Destroy All Gondolas references goes from LINK WRAY to BLACK SABBATH to MAYHEM to JOHNNY THUNDERS. “Laguna Di Satana” is out on vinyl in May 2017 for MacinaDischi in coproduction with Sonatine Produzioni, Death Crush Distro, Crampi Records and Shyrec.

Wow it's been a loooong time since I've been this excited about a prog album. PoiL and Ni are great bands in their own rights, but this project is so much more than the sum of its parts. I've not heard anything else quite like it, it's never boring. If I didn't know better I'd think these dudes are all actual wizards, especially with that band photo. 11/10 strongly recommended. sky · ghost

Hashshashin's music is a bold fusion of sound and style, excitingly blending power with finesse to create sounds from another world. Urgent compositions possessing thunderous speed are swiftly countered by moody passages where darkness lies – each track attracts with unique attributes. Michael Reilly
