Astral Brew is a rock quartet from Vittorio Veneto (TV) - Italy consisting in Riccardo Mazza (alto sax, keys) Michele Dall'Arche (electric bass), Christian Zandonella (electric guitar) and Daniele De Vecchi (drums).
The project was born in 2013 as a three-man band: guitar, bass and drums. After an initial period of experimentation, in 2015 the trio recorded “I”, a self-produced album released as a cassette.
“Red Soil”, the band's subsequent album, was released in 2018 for the label Macina Dischi.
At the end of 2018 Christian Zandonella joined the lineup.
The band is characterized by an electric jazz and fusion background, laced with funk-rock grooves that blend with free atmospheres and kraut obsessions.
During the winter of 2019/2020 the foursome recorded its third album titled “Plasmic Energy”, an exploration of new sound perspectives alternating the complex texture of progressive rock and deconstructions derived from the world of noise and ambient.

Astral Brew è un quartetto di Vittorio Veneto (TV) composto da Riccardo Mazza (sax alto, tastiere), Michele Dall’Arche (basso elettrico), Christian Zandonella (chitarra elettrica) e Daniele De Vecchi (batteria).
Il progetto nasce nel 2013 con una formazione a tre: basso, chitarra, batteria. Dopo un primo periodo di sperimentazione, il trio dà alla luce nel 2015 "I", album autoprodotto e rilasciato in formato cassetta.
Il successivo "Red Soil" registrato sempre dalla band, viene pubblicato ad Aprile 2018 per l'etichetta Macina Dischi.
A fine 2018 entra a far parte del gruppo Christian Zandonella.
La band trae spunto dal background del jazz eletttrico e dalla fusion, articolandolo con grooves funk-rock che si mescolano ad atmosfere libere ed ossessioni kraut.
Durante l'inverno 2019/2020 i quattro registrano il loro terzo lavoro intitolato Plasmic Energy che esplora nuova prospettive sonore alternando le trame complesse del rock progressivo a decostruzioni di stampo rumoristico ed ambientale.
